Hello Tolis,

In DX 16.1, the new Permission Policies option is introduced in the Security module.
New projects are based on the new 'Allow/Deny' mode by default and is also recommended by DevExpress.
The XpandUser and Role are still based on the old Security System mode 'Deny'.

Do you have plans to implement this new feature in Xpand?
The Allow/Deny policy allows us to create more complex and flexible security configurations.

Thanks,

Hein Kramer

In next version 16.1.5.2 I introduced a new set of classes (XpandPermissionPolicyRole, XpandPermissionPolicyUser & related classes). These classes live in BaseImpl and the framework will now use them as default, also you may implement your own custom versions by deriving from them or by implementing the related interfaces. There should be no breaking change on how the existing classes work however there is no easy way to migrate them. If someone has a solution we want to hear about it.

Replied by heinkramer on topic Implement Permission Policies in security module
Thanks Tolis,

I look forward to try and test with it. It would be great if someone figures something out to migrate the old system to the new one.
