At the moment all modules we have can be found our main page. For almost every XAF module an eXpand exists. All the modules are configured from the model. So in theory you should install all eXpand modules and using the Model Editor start to use all the extra attributes found there. Also feel free to post questions here and I do my best to answer asap.

Hi Tolis, sorry for asking some stupid questions , When i develop xaf, I add module as and when needed, but when I run expand, it seems like all has been added for me already. I use to code class in xaf one by one. So for expand , how to start my coding work. Frankly i am lost. Some quick tips from your end is greatly appreciated. e.g. say i want to create a customer master , sales order and sales details in expand , how to start. In xaf, i create 3 classes and set relationaship etc. Please enlighten me

Happy to ask concrete questions :)

First off eXpand is Xaf so you design the same BO as usual but in eXpand you can find the most common steps you want after or within designing the domain.

For example when you design the domain you can use the ProvidedAssociationAttribute to build your relationship. What else can u think of? Maybe you want to build the relationships at runtime in your model or using dynamic assemblies or etc. Most of these goodies are located in core modules (XpandSystemAspNetModule,XpandSystemWindowsFormsModule,XpandSystemModule)

Now expand also offers only UI stuff such as the masterdetail implementation for win and web. Those two are different first one has a dedicated module Xpand.ExpressApp.MasterDetail.MasterDetailModule 2nd one you need to install the core web module the Xpand.ExpressApp.Web.SystemModule.XpandSystemAspNetModule

From now and then for each XAF module you use consider enhancing it with an eXpand. And as much more you use eXpand libs as many goodies you wil have in your disposal. I am afraid at the moment this is the best we can do as an open source community. I hope soon we can have better quality docs and more tests
