Dashboard designer SQL edition disabled was created by florent97440
Hello,
I'm using some sql in my DataSource and i've got this error : A custom SQL query should contain only SELECT statements.

When i want to add a data source i'm not able to edit the SQL anymore. As you see on the attached screenshot the SQl editor is disabled.

How can i reactivate using SQL my DashBoards ?

Thank you,
Florent.

Hello,
I'm still searching a solution to enabling SQL script in the Dashboard. Is this an expand restriction or Devex ?
Can you help me ?

Thank you.
Florent.

I am sorry I missed this post please fell free to remind me in the future if I miss anything. However it is unclear how to reproduce this issue. Can you provide a sample?

Hello Tolis, thank you for your reply.
I attached a sample and a gif to this message.

It's a new Devexpress project with the DashBoard module, without any modification.
To repoduce you have to :
  • execute the sample
  • Create a new DashBoard
  • set the datastore
  • Select the Sql Option
In the DataStore wizard you have to choose between Sql Query or a stored Procedure.
The Sql Query editor is disabled.
When you open the Query Builder you can't add SQL too.

I'm using Devexpress 16.2.5 with eXpandFramework 16.2.5.2
Thank you,
Florent.

Hi,

thnks for the sample and video I checked them both but from what I see the sample does not reference any of the eXpandFramework libs and the module you use is the XAF dashboard module and not from eXpandFramework.

So it is better use the official support center because I am not the best guy for this, on a quick search it looks like you need to

Hello Tolis.
I post a question to the official support center and after some test i managed to enable the Sql editor but for the default dashboar module.

Here is how i do it with the default Devexpress Dashboard module :

1) I set a view controller on the IDashboardData object. (with expand Dashboard i have to set TargetObjectType on IDashboardDefinition)
2) I monitor the DashboardDesignerManager.DashboardDesignerCreated Event for the WinShowDashboardDesignerController.
3) I set the DashboardDesigner.DataSourceWizard.SqlWizardSettings.EnableCustomSql to true.

This solution wortks fine with the sample i gave you (default devexpress dashboard)

In my application i use the expand Dashboard.
The WinShowDashboardDesignerController is null when i want to catch it in my view controller (tryied in ControlsCreated and OnActivated)

How can i set this EnableCustomSql to true with the expand DashBoard ?

I tryied to be clear in my explication and hope you'll understand ^^.

Thank you
Florent
